This week we welcomed 26 staff for orientation/training (pictured above) to staff CYO Camps and Camp Ozanam through the Camps Connect collaborative. What an amazing group of staff we will have this summer! Our theme for 2018 is “On Fire for Jesus,” and they are definitely on fire! We ask that you keep the staff, volunteers, and campers in your prayers this summer. Many of them will be working at both CYO Camps and Camp Ozanam as need arises, even with one camp designated as their "home base". Per camp traditions, CYO Camp staff do not usually have "camp names" and Camp Ozanam staff do.
And now, we would like to introduce you to each one of them!
Welcome to ALL the Camps Connect staff this summer! Parents, volunteers, and camp supporters, please partner with us in praying for our staff and campers this summer, that lives will be touched and set "On Fire for Jesus!"
We're getting ready for Fright Fest 2015 and it's going to be the best one yet!
Grab your friends and neighbors and join us for a unique night of fun you won't forget! Admission is charged at the door.
Time is truly flying by! It seems like just yesterday we were starting the 6 month countdown to summer 2015 and hiring our first camp staff member of the season. Now we are in full swing with campers starting this week!
We are so excited to introduce everyone to you.... here they are!
(in case you missed it, our summer camp directors Oak and Molly were introduced here earlier this summer!)
There are many, many more volunteers and staff that graciously stepped in to help with camp for a week or two that we did not have the opportunity to catch up with during the busy summer. THANK YOU to all our staff and volunteers for your dedication and hard work!
And to everyone on our staff - welcome!! We are excited to have you on board this summer!
My name is Jenny and I am the media specialist at Camps Connect. I wanted to let you know about our IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for summer camp counselors and activity specialists. We just started our staff training earlier this week, but we are still in need of 6 male counselors, 3 female counselors, and 2 activity specialists (we provide the training for lifeguards, ropes course instructors, archery instructors - it starts June 30th!).
Let me tell you why you want to work at Camps Connect. First, you'll make a real difference here. We believe that if you are reading this and God lays a desire on your heart to be a part of our team, that He has hand picked you to play a great role on our staff.
We're not talking about fame or fortune, but we're talking about you being the perfect person to reach the right child at the right time to reach them for Jesus. We're taking about God using you and your unique talents and personality at the most unexpected time, in the most unexpected way to be a light shining in the darkness for children who need to know God's love and His power in their life, so that when they leave camp and go home they can take that everlasting hope with them to face their daily struggles.
Second, If you are like me, then you know that sometimes you feel unqualified, unworthy, or have moments when you don't feel like God can use you because of your brokenness. But let me encourage you that God can do something amazing with that brokenness, and use it to reach those around you and mend your heart! Your past may have shaped you, but it doesn’t have to define you.
So if you're interested in working here, if you feel that tug on your heart, here are the details about our open positions!
COUNSELORS: Responsible for the leadership and guidance of eight to eighteen campers. Counselors work in pairs, assisting the campers in the planning and execution of their daily schedules.
